Resources for those in Crisis

 If You Are in Crisis

Sometimes the reflections on this site may stir difficult feelings.

If you ever find yourself in deep distress, feeling unsafe with your thoughts, or unsure how to keep going, please reach out for real help now – you do not have to face it alone.

If you are in the UK

Samaritans: Call 116 123 (free, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week). You can also email jo@samaritans.org for a slower, written conversation.

Shout: Text 85258 to speak with a trained volunteer by text, day or night.

NHS 111 (option 2): For urgent mental health help or advice from your local NHS service.

If you are in immediate danger, call 999 or go to your nearest A&E department.

If you are outside the UK

Find a Helpline: Visit findahelpline.com, which lists verified free hotlines in over 100 countries.

Befrienders Worldwide: befrienders.org also lists international emotional support centres.

If you ever feel unsafe right now, contact local emergency services immediately.

A gentle reminder

Reaching out for help is not weakness; it’s an act of courage.

If you’re breathing, there’s still room for things to get better – and there are people awake tonight whose only job is to listen.
